Panthers Around the World Representative

I have been a PAW Representative for two years. Inspired by the Ritsumeikan University students during my study abroad program, I decided to take part in FIU’s new student ambassador program, PAW Representatives. During my study abroad experience, many buddies put effort into showing the study abroad students interesting activities in the area and providing companionship. I wanted to do offer the same opportunity for inbound exchange students at FIU. As a PAW Representative, I had the opportunity to spread the information about study abroad programs at FIU to encourage FIU students to increase their global awareness. I also facilitated cross-cultural communication. Through the exchange students I was paired with, I enjoyed learning about their cultures as I assisted them maneuvering through my own.
