JPN3955 Foreign Study: Japan

         One of the classes I took during my study abroad experience was the Global Learning Class Foreign Study: Japan. Through this class, students conducted multiple interviews with Japanese citizens entirely in Japanese. Additionally, students constructed presentations on and discussed unique aspects of Japanese society that differed from our American society. For my presentation, I compared the pedestrian culture I witnessed in Kyoto, Japan to Miami, Florida’s pedestrian culture. Additionally, students were tasked with finding different kanji (Chinese characters) around the city and finding their meaning.
